What is the difference between the Series 1 and Series 2?

The best way to explain the difference is Knack took the outside organizational pockets on the Series 1 and put them on the inside for the Series 2. So the Series 2 has one utility pocket for pens, cards, phone, glasses, etc. and the backpack section pocket for tablets, cords, and chargers, etc. Whereas the Series 1 has outside access to a sunglass/phone pocket, a cord/charger pocket, and a utility pocket.  It really comes down to personal taste.  Some customers like the multiple pockets on the Series 1 and some don't. The only other differences are small. The Series 2 has a side handle so you can carry it like a briefcase and the Series 1 doesn't. The utility pockets for each style are also set up differently. Do all your Knack Packs come with loops for attaching waist belts?

Our medium and large Knack Packs now come with the loops, enabling you to attach the waist belt. Our Large Series 2 is shipped with the waist belt included.  For the other sizes and styles, the waist belt is available for purchase on our site. When your Knack is fully expanded and packed out, the waist belt is great for distributing the weight from your shoulders to your hips.
Are Knack Packs machine washable?

Knack Packs are not machine washable or machine dryable. Both of these actions can damage the water-resistant treatment applied to the fabric.
If they're not machine washable, how do I clean my Knack Pack?

The water-resistant treatment applied to the fabric of a Knack Pack, also helps it resist dirt and stains.  If your pack does get a spot or stain, the best way to remove it is by spot treatment. You can take a dry brush (such as an old toothbrush) and brush away any excess dust/dirt that may be in the area.  Then apply a small amount of dish detergent (such as Dawn or Palmolive) to a clean damp cloth.  Wipe over spot, with the cloth, until you see the area is clean, re-dampen cloth if it dries out during the cleaning process. Let air dry.
Just received your Knack Pack and I can’t find the shoulder straps?

Don’t worry they are there 😊. Behind the top carry handle of your Knack Pack, you will see 2 flaps. The second flap, over the memory foam backing covers an opening or zipper (depending on which style you have) inside the zipper or opening you will find the shoulder straps. Our Knack Packs are shipped with the sternum straps stowed in the mesh pocket, in the backpack section of the bag, underneath the Knack logo.
Are all your Knack Packs customizable?

Yes! All our Knack Packs expandable backpacks are able to be embroidered on the front panel or for a subtle, smaller logo, the bottom of the padded part of the shoulder strap. Start customizing your new expandable Knack Pack backpack here.
