Series 2 Large real review after three years of continual use. 60 to 80 flights annually. This bag is incredibly well organized and that is hard to find. Holds more than I need truly. A place for everything in well placed. I wish I travelled lighter. That's on me. I am not gentle but also not crazy. This is built superbly. Not a rip, tear, seam-slip or a single zipper issue in the 3 years of using this bag consistently. Handles have a good feel, not cheap webbing handles or weak attachment to bag. Knack has too many features other brands miss or cheapen out on. OK, the large is a little long for under the seat but I would rather have it there than overhead. I live out of it. Love LOVE the Series 2 Medium Pack. It offers the perfect amount of storage and organization without being bulky. The expandable section is ideal for a short trip or giving you extra flexibility on a longer trip when paired with a carryon. It’s also suited for both business and casual travel. The size is just right for petite women - it’s comfortable and not too long. While I think the bag is wonderful, I was more impressed with the customer service, who went out of their way to communicate on the shipping of my order during an east coast winter storm. Which Size Should I Choose—Small, Medium, or Large?

There's really not a wrong answer, as all of our bags expand to give you more space, but if you had to choose, here's how we would make the decision:

Small (16L–25L expanded): Fits 16" laptop, holds 1–2 outfits. Perfect for light packers and weekend trips.
Medium (24L–35L expanded): Fits 16" laptop, holds 2–3 outfits. The go-to for professionals balancing daily commutes and travel.
Large (27L–39L expanded): Fits 17" laptop, holds 3–4 days of gear. Best if you travel frequently or prefer extra room.

You said there is a laptop pocket? Where is it located?

Great question! All of the Series 2 Knack Packs have a dedicated laptop compartment. Small & Medium have an interior laptop pocket in the main pocket right below the "knack" tag. Both sizes fit laptops up to 16", plus a tablet sleeve for a second device in the same main compartment. The large Series 2 Knack Bags have side-access pockets towards the back panel of the bag right before the suitcase compartment. This padded pocket fits up to a 17" laptop.

Does a Series 2 Knack Bag really work for both work and travel?

We know it sounds sorta hard to believe but yes! Unexpanded, it's a professional commute bag with secure internal organization for your laptop and work essentials. Expand it, pack a change of clothes, and it's your airline carry-on travel bag. The design means you're not wasting space during the week, but you're ready for spontaneous trips whenever they happen.

Will a Series 2 Knack Bag fit as an airline carry-on

Yes, but it's always important to check with your airline provider as their carry-on requirements. Since we have different sizes, the Series 2 Knack Bag Small & Medium fit comfortably under most airline seats even when expanded (expanded heights: 8.5" and 9.5" respectively). The Series 2 Large expands to 9.5" and fits under most seats, but it's soft-sided so you can compress it to fit your airline's requirements. We can't reiterate enough to always check your specific airline's dimensions on their website. All three styles are TSA-compliant and work as personal items or carry-ons depending on your airline.
