Series 2: Medium Expandable Knack Pack®

So glad to have found the Knack Pack. It's a perfect fit for my adult son's busy work and outdoor activities. Just the kind of gift he will use and appreciate.

First of all let me start off with, I honestly though the admin pouch in the front of the bag was the main compartment and figured out how to put my iPad, book. Journal, wireless headphones. Keys, wallet, flash drive, pens and sunglasses in the bag thinking everything was a tight fit. It wasn't til I went to open the luggage part that I realized I shoved everything into the admin pocket. Truly spacious bag.

I use this bag for EDC and it is fantastic, holds all my stuff with room to spare. I can't wait till I can travel again and use the expansion section to see how it works.

I have a large and medium series 1 and now the series 2 medium. For a four day trip the large is great and holds all my stuff. I’m large 6 foot 275lbs But these are awesome for edc bag as well. I can’t say which one I like better series 1 or 2. I like the look of series 1 with easy access pockets but also the redesigned organization pocket in series 2. Both packs have the best zippers IMO of any pack I own, including evergoods, Timbuktu, Tom Bihn and several other brands. These zippers are so smooth. The other thing that really sets these packs apart are the huge zipper compartments at the top of the pack on the inside. This allows you to store a bunch of stuff instead of everything ending up in the bottom of the bag. This is rare in a pack and allows your stuff to spread out inside and the bag becomes very efficient. It is smaller than some packs I have but seems like it has much more room. Unless I am traveling with clothes all my computer edc gear fits fine without expanding it. Out of every bag in this size area I own. (probably 20 different bags) this is the most efficient and well designed. This will definitely be my go to company and no need to look anywhere else any more.

I own the Large "series 1" pack and have used it for extensive international business and personal travel. It has held up extremely well and shows minimal wear.
Ordered the next size down "medium" as the large can be "too large" some time.
Laptop is a tight fit to insert and remove from the "medium". My laptop is slightly larger than recommended size of medium (15").
Biggest improvements - sleeve to slip over handle of rolling bag, and large organization pockets inside of bag.
Overall a well made and excellent value for a multi-use pack that does not look like a camping backpack.

I got the series 2 in midnight black and in my opinion it’s an awesome upgrade in features over the series 1 medium knackpack. The redesigned front compartment is a HUGE upgrade. It’s lockable and now safe to keep valuables there. Much bigger space, I’m still figuring out what to keep there and what to keep in the main compartment lol. I’m not a big sternum strap person, never really cared about that. But the sternum strap on the series 2 is very useful I might actually use it. Easy to slip on and off. Only thing I wish is that it had a strap keeper on it but that’s a nit pick it works fine. The side handle also I never really cared about that if I’m not wearing the bag I grab the top handle and go. If I have to put a bag above I grab the bag handle and the bottom and put it there, never a problem. But for people who want or need it, the side handle is there. I just put my hero clip on the side handle for if I need to attach something. The bag looks great (I’ve gotten a lot of compliments already) and it stands by itself. I do wish it had a frame sheet but again, that’s another nit pick. The hidden pocket is EXCELLENT, I put my wallet and emergency cash in there, perfect place for your passport when traveling. The harness system is comfortable, the straps rest easy on my shoulders and I LOVE the strap keepers. On my series 1 medium sangria red Knackpack I bought some small velcro straps and made my own keepers. I hate dangling straps if they are too long that’s a deal breaker for me. Back panel has good air flow and is very comfortable the overall weigh distribution on the bag is great. When empty the bag is super light, when the bag arrived I shook the box it was in it felt like the box was empty. I haven’t tried the travel compartment yet on this bag but I will next week. I’m not expecting anything different from the series 1 in that area, great expandable travel/extra space that can be zipped up and hidden until needed.
